Major Features

Character Outline Behind Objects

JEFF-3 now has an outline when standing behind objects such as crates and fences. With this change, we hope that players will have less difficulty finding JEFF-3 in instances where he may be in a blind spot. Along with this change, we have removed the JEFF-3 scan ability as we feel it becomes redundant with the outline. If deemed necessary, we may bring back JEFF-3 scan for other uses but for the time being, it has been removed for the current game iteration. (You may have also noticed the new crate textures.)

Crate Interactions

JEFF-3 now holds crates much lower than before. The intention of this change is to improve the consistency of crate interactions such as dropping crates and moving with crates. Lowering the height at which Jeff holds the crates also limits the springing seesaw motion we see when he moves.

Level Overhaul

With v0.7a, we have overhauled virtually every level, and added 2 more levels (level count has increased to 8). Some levels have been adjusted for difficulty or tutorialization reasons as well as improved clarity. We will continue to monitor feedback on our levels and adjust them accordingly.

Adjusted JEFF-3’s Head Position

JEFF-3 now holds his head above his head instead of in front of his chest. We hope this will make navigating around a level easier as less sightlines will be blocked by the low viewpoint.

Revamped Interactables

The conveyor belt, the lasers, and the pickup crate all have been enhanced, both visually and functionality wise. These changes immediately made our levels and environments feel much more polished. Also goodbye floaty conveyor belts, we won't miss you :)

- Levers are easier to activate.

- Changed hotkey for head-hopping.

- Players can now free look, even when JEFF-3 is holding his head.

- Increased free look limit, allowing the player to see more.

- Modified JEFF-3's head-carrying pose.

- Players are now given hints via signs scattered throughout levels.

- Added pre-alpha disclaimer and link to our discord.

- Lighting update.

- Improved performance.

- Various minor bug fixes.

- Various minor visual improvements.
